DOLLS " AT HOME."
The Bath. House doll show of the Children's Happy Evenings Association is one of the few Bocial engagements of the year which appeals to the children of Mayfair and Belgravia, who are invited to como with their mothers to pay their respects to tho wonderful dollies who have been toilettod by the great ladies to give pleasure to the children of the poor. The Princess of Wales (according to'an English paper) sent a whole company of dolls dressed in pink and 1 blue. Lady Wernher sent tho largest number of dolls, 200 ; while Lady Jersoy, the president, was represented by over 100 dolls. Over 1400 voluntary workers help the association, and these are responsible for the amusement of 24,000 "slum" children weokA unique coll of dolls in national costume, presented by the. German Empress, the Queen of Spain, the Queen of Norway, tho Duchess of Scania, Princess Patrica, of Connaiight, Princess Alexandra and Princess Ma,ud (daughters of the Princess Royal) were so)d at the "novelists' bazaar," opened at London Queen's Hall on sth December. The bazaar was in aid of the trust fund of tho Girls' Realm Guild, and the Queen and the princees of Walss were among the Royal contributors.
