TO-MORROW'S ATHLETIC MEETING.
Great interest is being taken in the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association's championship meeting to be held on the Basin Reserve to-morrow. The best amateurs in the country with one exception (Hector Burk, of 'Dunedin) will all be seen out in defence of their titles as champions. The Wellington team consists of J. Wallace, Henderson, L. M'Kay, Thomassen, Fisher, and Cook (all present champions), W. H. Pollock (an ex-champion), F. W. Gcodbehere, H. Kerr (one mile record holder), P. Wilton (harrier champion), Tom Stubhs, and W. Gosling (exchampion reps.), A. A. Burge, and M. Mulcahy. The Canterbury team is headed by H. Murray (440 yards hurdles champion), C. L. Arbell (high jump champion), and P. H. Stubberfield (exchampion walker). R. Bass, G. L. Anderson, D. M'Phail, R. F. Mitchell, and S. W. Moore. Dunedin and Auckland tire also represented while some pi the smaller centres will also have representatives competing. A conference of delegates of the association will be held at Batkin's rooms tomorrow morning.
