CADET SHOOTING COMPETITION.
Results of the class firing by cadets during- the volunteer year now closing are available. Private H. Tyennan, of Woodville, tied for top of the list with S|rgt, "Martin, of " Gqre.' their scores being 82. Scores of 76 were put on by Erivais J. Eriastly, Qnehunga,; LanceCorporal Sangster, Stratford j Bugler Pcttigrew, Wanganui ; and Private Bhiexs, Geraldine. Private Sievers, Carterton, and BugKr Harvey, North East Valley, each made 74, while one point less was made by Sergt. Newton, t'icton ; Sergt. Olssen, Pieton ; , Corporal Hanraham," fiokitika. Private Josling, Rangiora, made 72 ; Sergt. Eden, Wakefield, 69 ; Lieut. 1 Smith, Greymouth, 65. The tie for first place is to be fired off shortly. Each of the lads in the list will receive an engraved district medal.
