JUNIOR COMPETITION. Vivian v. Red Cross. Vivian batting first made 169 (Maplesden 68, Castle 34, Cording 23, Tretheway 13 (not out), and Thompson 10). Red Cross replied with 122 (Marshall 31 (not out), O'Brien 20, 1 Tinkgraff 17, and Elrich 32). V.M.C.A. v. Union. V.M.C.A. batted first and made W7 runs (Dyson 75, Osborno 19, Ham 18, Clapshaw 13). Union made 24 in their first innings. Holmes bowled well for V.M.C.A., taking five wickets for 9 ; for Union, Mills took three wickots for 43. , Artillery A. v. Pakeha. Artillery mado 118 (Brown 28, Thompson 25 not out, Joyce 19), and 83 for three wickets (Smith 21, Joyce not out 18). Pakeha in the first innings made 94 (M^Eldowney 48, and Carruthers 10). All Saturday's fixtures have been postponed on account of the championship sports meeting.
