The steamer Investigator, with thtee. hundred excursionists to Port Fine regatta from Port Augusta, is ashore- atj Cockle Point, in tho Spencer Gulf. Assistance has been sent. The Investigator is an iron tntfeemasted steamer of 605 tons, built in 1882 by Messrs. D. and W. Henderson, of Glasgow. Her dimensions aie. Length, 210 ft 3in ; breadth, 23ft 3m; depth, 12ft sin. She is owned ry the Adelaide Steam Shipping Conuwny, Limited.
