From 25,967 tons of ore crushed and treated ia that period bullion valued at £64,035 was won. This is a record, for any similar period, the return for the brken tuorith of December^ 1906, being £46,120 from 19,715 tons. (The total qutput from the mine for th 6 past year- corrected to 13th July was £860,239, representing an increase of more than £22,00*0 over th© total for the preceding year. It must be remembered, however, that the returns for practically tho last six months m 1907 have yet to be- , corrected, the bullion values, published invariably being considerably less than the actual amount realised at Home. It is very satis- 1 factory, therefore, to find that, notwithstanding tho completeness of the corrections, an increase over the preceding year is nevertheless shoAvn ; by the available figures. " This increase will be much greater when actual statictics can be compiled. The total amount won from the" mine to date, according to details so far to hand, is £6,271,927, of which £2,839,432 has been reimbursed to shareholders in the shape of dividends, etc. An increasing amount of colonial capital is being invesfed in Waihi shares. At present there are on the colonial register 1400 shareholders owning 12^,357 shares, which represent a value at present market price (£8 7s 6d) of £1,024,739. On payment of the December dividend in 1906 the figures were 806 shareholders, 72,295 shares, value (on same absis of calculation) £605,470 12s 6d, and on the same date in 1905 the figures were 258 shareholders, 52,280 shares, vajue '(at same rate) £270,345.
