BOWLING. NEW ZEALAND v. AUSTRALIA.

' The match will be played at Balmain on the 23rd inst. The team selected was chosen with a view to having as" many clubs as possible represented, sixteen clubs having a member in the team. In consonance with a request by the New Zealand bowlers, it has been decided to hold one test match instead of three, thus allowing another two days for friendly games, THE NEW ZEALAND TOURNAMENT. 'AUCKLAND, 10th January. At the North Island Bowling Association's tournament Gisborne played Hastings for second. pjace 3 and -won in th© aggregate" by 34 to 33. fastings thus came third. The prize for the club having the least number of points scored against them was won by Gisborne, but as they were placed in." the ""championship they were ineligible foi' tho prize, according ta the conditions; ami the Mount Eden (Auckland) Club won with 318 points against them. Gisborne had only 314. The preliminary heats in the Citizens* match were co^tesied. -The semi-finals will be reached to-morrow.'
