A private cable states that at the general meeting on 7th January, the aireotors of tho New Zealand and River Plato Company will recommond a dividend of 7 per cent, for the year, tho interim dividend to be deducted therefrom. The approximate amount of the net profit is £39,269, of which the dividend will absorb £21,000, leaving £14,0C0 <to be paid to reserve, and £4269 to be carried forward. Tho directors also recommend that £ld,ooo be carried to reserve in consequence of a revaluation of the New Zealand assets. The total reserve wiU then be £252,000.
