CATTLE-DRIVING."
MR. GINNELL'S HOPES. CUT TBLEGJ?ArH.— ME63 AB3OOIATIONJ LONDON, 18th December. Mr. Laurence Ginnell, Nationalist M.P. for Westmeath, who has boon prominent in the agrarian agitation in Ireland, speaking at a league meeting at Moynoe, County Clare, ridiculed tho idea that the imprisonment of himself and other M.P.'s would keep the ranches and cattle quiet. He hoped the young men would not leave a beast on the Westmeath ranches during this winter. Speaking at Kilskeer about a fortnight ago, Mr. Ginneli declared that the promise of tho Right Hon. A. Birrell, Chief Secretary for Ireland, to do what the people wanted if the demand was made with sufficient courage and energy meant that they ought to pursue cattle-driving vigorously. The Westminster Gazetto has urged tho Government to prosecute members of the House of Commons who are inciting the cattle-drivers, especially Mr. Ginncll.
