BOOKMAKERS' ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Wellington bookmakers was held yesterday, when it was decided to form an association under the Unclassified Societies Registration Act, to be termed the Wellington Bookmakers' Association. A committee was appointed to wait upon the Manawatu Racing Club, with a view to a satisfactory settlement of certain matters in dispute. Mr. C. N. Beaslcy was appointed secretary, and it was arranged to hold a special meeting early next year to' consider rules and constitution.
