REGATTA DAY.

A Avell -attended general meeting of the Port Nicholson Yacht Club was held at Armit's Rooms last night. The business of the evening consisted of drawing up tho programme of races for Anniversary Day, 22nd January. It was decided to put on sixteen events, which will include races for first, second, and third class boats, oil-launches, 14ft half-deck boats, sailing dinghys, ships' boats, coal-hulk sailing boats, and naval cutters' Bailing •race. The club has entered for every type of boat in tho harbour, and an excellent display may be looked for. The regatta this yoar will be held in front of tho Glasgow Wharf.
