ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
[bt telegbafh.— press assocutiok.] DUNEDIN, This Day. Thomas Walker, -engineer of the- dredge Enterprise, was drowned at Alexandra South. Deceased and a , mate named "Brown were going ashore yesterday morning, and forgot to let go the stern of the boat, which capsized. Both men ■were thrown into the water. Brown managed to regain the- boat, but Walker's body was camed down the river. Walker leaves a wife and four children. HOKITIKA, This Day. A man named Arthur Mayo was drowned in the Haast River, South Westland. There are no particulars.
