THE KINGSTON INCIDENT
GOVERNOR AND ADMIRAL. IFMSS ASSOCIATION-! LONDON, sth February. - The Times publishes a letter from Mr. Henniker Heaton, M.P., who was at Kingston when the recent earthquake occurred and the differences took place between Sir J. A. Swofctenham and Admiral Davis, of the United States navy. ( Mr. Heaton says tho negroes in Jamaica chiofly fear annexation by the United States. In his opinion, there would have been a riot if Admiral Davis's force had remained ashore forty-eight hours. THE RELIEF FUNt>. •• LONDON, sth February. The Mansion House fund in aid of the sufferers at Jamaica has reached £48,000.
