ACCIDENT ON THE RAILWAY.
o[tit tvLtdhiva.— kh&s association.] AUCKLAND, This Day. The 12,45 Auckland to Mercer train ran off tfc£ lino at Westdeld (Otahuhu) yesterday, the engine and fivo trucks being derailed. The driver and fireman escaped injury, also tiio passengers, the | latter's carriages remaining on tho tine. ! It is thought the accident was. duo to the points being unlocked. After two houfe, traffic was -resumed o*n the line, but the derailed engine is still lying wheTo il fell.
