DEATH OF AN OLD SETTLER. » [BT THLEGRAPH. — PBESS ASSOCUTION.] PALMERSTON, This Day. The death occurred this moTiring of Mr. W. L. Hirst, aged 82 years. He was one of the earliest settlers, arriving in Wellington in 1857, and establishing a, tannery at Kaiwarra He was well known, all over the province, and owned a considerable amount of property. He is survived by Mrs. Hirst.
