FRAULEIN KRUPP'S WEDDING .
♦ FURTHER GIFTS FOR WORKMEN. SPEECH BY~THE KAISER. [PEESS ASSOCIATION.] BERLIN, 16th October. The religious ceremony in connection with the marriage between |Herr Halbeach and Fraulein Bertha Krupp (daughter of the late ironmaster and gunmaker of Essen) took place to-day. In addition to the distribution of thirty thousand sterling among fifty thousand workmen, the couple* contributed fifty thousand pounds to the sick fund of the employees at tho Essen works, and Frau Krurnj (mother of the bride) gave fifty .thpusand pounds, with fifty hectares of land, to establish an institution for the relief of the poorer classes. The Kaiser, who was among the guests, delivered a' speech congratulating Frau Hnlbeach on her magnificent sphere of usefulness aa rf gards the welfare of workmen. His Majesty expressed the hope that Krupps would always make the best guns.
