JPALMERSTON, This Day. | The New Zealand Wyandotte Club (.North Island), which was recently formed in Palmerstcn, held its annual meeting hero last night. It was decided that the club's second competition be held next year in Wellington. It wag resolved to direct the JSorth Island Poultiy Association's attention to the growing practice of men judging at shows at which, they aro also competitors. Mr. G. R. Hutchinson (Auckland) was re-elected president. Amongst the vice-presidents aie Messrs. V. Barker (Petone) and C. J. Frost (Karori). The committee consists of Messrs. West (Feildirig), Bagnall, and Munro (Palmerston), and Slack (Awapuni); secretary, Mr. J. Jarvis (Rongotea); treasurer, Mr. Lane (Palmerston).

In order to give visitors an opportunity of hearing the city organ, the Mayor has decided to throw open the Town Hall at 8 o'clock to-night, when Mr. Maughan Barnett will play a few selections. No charge will be made for admission. To-morrow evening, at 7.30, at their rooms, Manners-street, Messrs. Sidey, Mcech and Co. will hold a salo of city and suburban property. Twenty-one uousos will be submitted, situated ia tho following localities:— Ons in Northland, four at Island Bay, six in Petone, one at Wadestown, two in NewtrOwn, and sevon in tho city • ateo 22 sections ciluated in all parts of city and suburbs, Trentham, and one at Featherston.
