ANTI-TRUST BILL
DEBATE IN THE FEDERAL PARLIAMENT. [PRESS ASSOCIATION.! (Received June 21, 10.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE This Day. The debate on the Anti-Trust Bill so far has been mostly confixed to the Opposition, which contends that while the Bill is designed ostensibly to protect the people against trusts, its real intention is to shut out imports. Mr. Fowler, the West Australian labour member, characterised the Bill as "Protection run stark, staring, raving mad." Mr. WaUron, while promising to support the Bill, indicated a number of important amendments, which Sir. Wm. Lyne promised would receive attention. Air. Watson declared in favour of the nationalisation or monopolies, but he did not want to overthrow private enterprise.
