Polycaete beat Hipporofla over six furlongs, and Rose Madder beat Gazeley. Pushful and Rajah galloped aix furlongs, finishing up in that) order. Albuera finished well aliead of Concussion at the end of five furlongs. Sleepwell jumped eight fences splendidly. No Shot followed, clearing the fences in gTeat style. Black Reynard and Handsome Rose were companions once round over the hurdles. The latter hesitated a good deal. Reynard jumped fast and safe. Kiatere, NadadoT, Irish, Submarine, Lurcher, Sir Percival, Comfort, Shrapnel, Pretty Maid, and Phaetonitis did slow work. St. Lyra was scratched yesterday for «.ll engagements at tho Hawkes Bay Jockey Club's meeting.
