FINES FOR SLY-GROG SELLING.

The seqnel to the police raid on four premises <vhere 't was suspected that ' sly-grog selling was in progress on Sunday week, was enacted at the Police Court this afternoon, when no less than thirty-six charges weie preferred. Three beepers were convicted of selling beer, the fines bein-r £36, £36, and £35 re- j spectivdy. One man, charged with assisting, was fined £10, and another £5 Eleven persons found on the premises, charged with illegally deling in liquor, were each fined £2, and another £1. The fines with costs totalled about 8150. i
