The other night a hospital nurse was found sleeping on duty, and was suspended by the matron It transpired at the enquiiy that the nurse- had been on duty eleven hours every night for three weeks. The trustees leinstated her. As a result tho matron and two chief nurses, also two doctors, have resigned, declaring the action of the board is an undue interference with tho matron's authority.
