The New York Times says that a sure way to make tho present loss in the export trade of meats permanent is to palter over the Inspection Bill now before Congress. Tho Daily Telegraph stales that the Admiralty and War Office stipulate that in future contracts lor tinned meats will only bo accepted from the British colonies. American packers fear that this will result in a policy of Imperial preference. Many sanitary reforms have already been introduced in tho Chicago packing houses.
