There was a good entry of all classes of stock at tho Addington yards to-day, including an extra, large penning of cattle, and prices were all 'fully up to the average, though the fat cattle wero slightly easier. Store Sheep. — The entry was smaller than last week, but there was a decided improvement in the tone of tho market, especially for wethers and limbs and ewes in lamb. The following were the prineipak sales :— Halfbred wethers 16s 3d to 16a sd, 61 crossbred wethers 16s 2d, 90 aged ewes 103 2d, 517 four, six, and eighttooth c-wea 14s 6d, 84 forward lambs 12s 7d, 25 forward wethers 16s 9d. Fat Lambs. — The yarding of fat lambs was slightly larger than the previouß week, but tho quality was hardly as good Fat Sheep. — There was only a fair entry of fat sheep, and prices for .extra prime were fully up to lato rates. Second quality and freezers were slightly easier. Fat Cattle. — Owing to the largo entry, which comprised 325, tho sale at tho commencement was dull, but brightened up considerably towards fbo end. Prime beef brought from 15s to 28s per 1001 b. Store and Dairy Cattle. — There was a good yarding- of store and dairy cattle, and prices were on a par with those ruling last week. Go<sd cows sold at from £6 to £8 ss, others £2 10s to £7. Pigs. — A fair number of pigs were penned, and met with a good sale. Light weight baconers made 38s to 445, extra 49s to 565, equal to from 3Jd to 4d per Ib. Porkers met with a fair sale, fetching J from 25s to 325, eqial to from 4d to 4^d per lb. Small stores made from 4s to ~7b 6d, medium 8s to 12s, and largo stores up to 20s. Mr. H. Ernest Leighton reports that at hia stock sale held at the Hutt yesterday a large entry came forward. Sales comprised young heifers, 29s 6d to 355 ; springing heifers, £3 10s to £4 4s; cows, '£3 13s to £5 2s; light harness horses, £8 10s to £11 ; heavy draught horses, £24 12s 6d to £32; brake horses, £22 5s to £25; horse, dray, and harness, £19.
