"THE" DARLING OF THE GODS." This evening will be the last opportunity oil witnessing the fine spectacular and admirably-acted Japanese play. "A Royal Divorce" has ahvays been one of the biggest of attractions in the Knight-Jeffries repertoire, and its short season should bo a successful one. FULLER'S ENTERTAINERS. The Fuller Company's Christmas bill was presented for the last time yesterday evening, before a large audience A complete change of programme is announced for to-night, • when the strong combination will submit new items. A special holiday matinee is to be given on Monday in addition to the usual evening performance. CZERNY. Czerny the mystifier continues to be p. strong attraction at His Majesty's Theatre, and holiday business has been done at that place of entertainment throughout tho week The Czeruy illusions puzzle patrons tremendously, and the neatness and ease with which tho conjurer handles articles which the ordinary mortal would require a handcart to carry wins rounds of applause and much admiration. Czerny is to give further entertainments this evening and on Monday, when he will present some new feats, tricks, and illusions. On Wednesday next the prestidigitateur is to entertain the many members of the theatrical profession at present in Wellington at a matinee performance. CARNIVAL PROMENADE CONCERTS. The programme presented nightly at the Skating Rink by the Dix Vaudeville Company is varied and attractive. The artistes include Alma the Magician; Gazssa (a clever equilibrist), Misses Florrie Weston and Lily Northwood, Messrs.
