THE FISHER-O'REGAN MEETING. TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, — I would like to siy a few words in reply to the letter over the signature of "W. A. Thomson, Secretaiy for Mr. Fisher," appearing in your paper of yesterday, fie sayn that ''the proceeds from the affairs are now in the hands of Mr. Abel." That is not so; I only hold the cash for tickets I sold. I must ask iim what about the tickets he sold, also the hundreds that were sold at the hall. Mr. Thomson, who engaged the hall and made the arrangements, should have found out how many tickets I had sold before allowing a free sale at the hall. For the information of the public, I might state that the number of tickets I sold was: — Ladies' 266, gentlemen's 529; total, 795. The amount of cash taken is £52 19s 6d, which I am instructed by both sides to hold until after the election. — I am, etc., J, ABEL. sth December.
