HOCKEY.
JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. The Junior Championship, the only one of the three contests not as, yet finished, was advanced another stage on Saturday. It is now practically assured that the winners of the Wellington-United fixture will secure the ' junior premiership for 1905. The following are the results of Saturday's matches : — United beat Karori by 5 goals to nil. Wellington defeated Wesley by 2 goals to nil. Thomdon won from Victoria College by 3 goals to 2. V.M.C.A. beat Vivian by 3 goals to 2. THIRD-CLASS. Victoria College A defeated V.M.C.A. by 10 goals to nil ; Wellington beat Victoria College B by 8 goals to 2 j United won from Thorndon by 4 goals to nil, Karori, who had a bye on Saturday, hive now won this contest, having won every match with one exception, that* against Victoria College A in tho first round, which the latter won by 2 goals to 1.
