'Hie United btate3 crop is estimated at 050 to 7UU million bushels, and the \V esteru*- Canadian crop at 100 million bushels. Tho American visible supply of wheat cast of tho Rockies is estimated al 25,666,000 bushel*. Cargoes aro firmlj held, 32s 10£ d being asked for otf coast and 32s 6d tor shipment. First arrivals of New fc Zealand wheat are belated, and aro clashing with the new Eigii3h crop. Short borry is quoted at 283 to 295, long berry 29s to 30s. Flour.— West Australian declined owing to plentiful supplies of Home-grown. Parcels on passage sold at 225, c.i.b. Tho spot price London is 23s to 23s 3d. Butter is firm and unchanged, with_ a strong market. There aro small supplies of colonial. Sugar. — German Deet, 88deg., 8d lower, at 9s sd; first mark granulated, f.o.b. Hamburg, 8d lower, at 11s 8d per owt. Silver, 2s 4 5-16 d per oz. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Wellington, have received tne following cablegram from London, dated 24th inst. :— "Butter —Copenhagen official quotation is unchanged. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ending 19th instan* amounted to 72,000cwt., as compared with 82.000cwt. for the corresponding t period of last year. More demand for unealted than silted."
