SALE OF THE LOWRY BAY ESTATE.

• We understand that a syndicate of city residents has (through Messrs. Wm. H. Turn bull and Co.) acquired from Mr. H. D. Bell the valuable Lowry Bay estate, consisting of about 370 acres. It is understood that the price was between £35,000 and £40,000. The portion of the property between the residences of Mr. Bell and Mr. Arthur Pearce is to be reserved for members of the syndicate, who intend to erect handsome seaside residences upon it. The land at Point Howard, a picturesque spot lying towards the Hutt, will, it is stated, be subdivided into 'suitable building lots and otfered to the public at an early date, and it- is also, understood that a substantial wharf will be erected on the site of the old jetty with the object of enabling the ferry steamers to call in at the bay at regular intervals.
