A single man named Albert Kilpatrick, aged twenty-three years, was killed at the Marlborough Cement Company's works- last evening through becoming enj tangled in the machinery. He was' eni gaged in oiling the shaft when he fell. When 'he was in an unconscious • condition, and he died before reaching the Picton Hospital. Deceased was a native of Dunedin. GISBORNE, This Day. Tnomas Allen, head waiter at the Masonic Hotel, died suddenly whilst at breakfast this morning.
