A BIG WOOL SHIPMENT.

One of the largest shipments of wool which has left any port in the Commonwealth in one bottom was sent to Europe from Adelaide in the Tyaer liner Star of New Zealand, which left on the 2nd October. In live days the steamer loaded 10,127 bales,, in addition 267 bales of skins and sundries. The record for Port Adelaide is held by. the Perthshire, which sailed on the 20th November, 1902, with 10,964 bales.

The Sliaw-Savill liner Delphic, which is to sail for London to-morrow afternoon, will take a large cargo of produce and general merchandise from New Zealand. The following passengers have booked by the steamer : — From Wellington — Messrs. Lafferty, Hayes. From Ohristehuroh— Mrs. Peascod and child. From Dunedin— Mesirs. Wilson, Hoyle. From Sydney— Mri. Fctiia, Messrs. Feasia, Humphries. A concert held on board the Moeraki during the run from Sydney realised about £3, which sum is to be handed over to the Shipwreok Relief Society. The New Zealand Shipping Company's s.s. Rukain, which left WiJliamstQwn for the United Kingdom on the Ist October, took 46,452 bags of wheat from Australia. The latest charter list to hand advises that the steamer Petone, wjiioh left Napier for' Sydney recently, is to return to New Zealand with a cargo of oonl from Newcastle, and then make another run to Australia, taking timber from Greymouth to Sydney. The Koonya has been delayed in the South, and will not reaoh Wellington until Tuesday next instead of on Sunday, her usual day. The ship Westland has been chartered to load a general cargo at London for Nelson. The Frenoh four-masted barque Adolphe, which was wrecked while entering Newcastle harbour recently, has been sold for £740 to Mr. A. Wilson, of Balmain. The ship Andora, now at, Auckland, hab been chartered to load wheat in Australia for the United Kingdom or Continent with option of South Africa.
