THE WILLIAMSON COMEDY CO. Tho large audionco which assembled in tho Opera House last evening thor oughly enjoyed tho second and final production by Mr. J. C. Williamson's Comedy Company of '" Tho Duke' of Killiecrankie." A double bill has been prepared for this evening, and also for tomorrow night. At 8 o'clock the company will perform tho old-time comedy, Margery's Troubles," and tho pieco will be followed by Hubert Davies's comedy, " Cousin Kate," which ran at tho Haymarket throughout last season, and which has never yet been presented in Wellington. DIX'S GAIETY COMPANY. Mr. J. W. Winton made his farewell appearance with the Dix Company at the Theatre Royal last night, and the Cathedral Choristers and others helped with an entertaining programme. This evening will signalise the first appearance in tho colony of Mdlle. May Moore Duprcz, who, though but nineteen, has already had fourteen years' experience of the stage. She makes a specialty of an impersonation of a German girl, whoso broken English conversations with the audience* arc said to be immensely funny. She is also a fine dancer, and is musical. THE FULLER ENTERTAINERS. The Swifts, Prof. Parker, Misses Lenton and Dagmar, the Stagpooles, Carmo, Mr. Dennis Carney, and others assist in making up- a. big bill at His Majesty's just now. Tho programme is bright and merry, and well diversified. Miss Ivy Nicholls is to make her first appearance with the company to-morrow night. A large audience greeted Miss Menkmeyer last night in tho Salvation Army Citadel, hall and galleries being well filled. Tho programme comprised some of tho porformor's most admired songs and pianoforte detections, including her own !l Wanderings in the Black Forest." The audience was liboral in expressing its appreciation, and one encore, Schutt's " Capriccio," was given. At tho close an officer of the Army thanked MKs Menkmeyor for her generosity in assisting tho charities of the institution, and called for a pTopcr "sond-off," tho response to which was a demonstration that mode the " welkin " ring.
