WRECK OF THE AUSTRALIA. DISCHARGING THE CARGO. [PRESS ASSOCIATION.] MELBOURNE, 21st June.
Tho weather w lino and the sea is smooth. The Australia's position remains analtered and the discharging of cargo by means of lighters is proceeding. Tho whole of the goods consigned per •parcel post, have been recovered in good condition. Tho captain and officers, together with the Lawar deck crow, remain on board the Australia until arrangements areniado to send the crow Home by tho next outgoing steamer. M.'iujr local insurance companies have small lines on the cargo nf tho wrecked vessel, but tho bulk is held by Lloyd's, London. It- is believed a considerable portion of tho cargo is damaged. Tho company's report states that tlio vessel appears to bo doomed.
