ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

This afternoon two boys named Robloff, aged eight and ten yenrs respectively, hfid a, narrow escape from drowning. They foil into the river nnd were about to sink when rescued by an engiuedriver named FetiMv. AUCKLAND. 21st June. A settlor named Dnniri Grant, who recently bought a farm at Ararinui. left home on Monday, nnd as lie did not re» turn, search whs made. His dead body was found in fionio icrub about three miles from his house. At the inquest held to-day at Onehunga. concerning the death of 'Lawrence Gtraghly, who was burned (o death in his house, evidence was given as to the fire and the discovery of his remains, but no new facts wcra elicited. The jury brought m a verdict of "Accidental death from suffocation." STRATFORD, 2Ut Juno. A man, whose name is unknown, was found dead this evening in tho cemetery with a whisky bottle, half full, beside him. It is surmised that death was due to suffocation. An inquest will be hold to-morrow.
