MR BALFOUR'S LICENSING BILL
MEETING OF PROTEST. [tokss association 1 (Received May 31, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 30th May. A meeting of twelve Uioiumnd pcroons held at the Albert Hall, Lord Peel prosiding, condemned the Licensing Bill introduced by the Government. The Right Hon. John Morloy ridiculed the idea that the trade wns ill-used. Mr. Arthur Chamberlain, brother of the ex-Colonial Secretary, protested against legislating for th© benefit of publicans.
