RIFLE SHOOTING. THE RANFURLY CUP.

The Collego , Itiiles obtained 236 points for shooting and 16 for drill, and tho Zcnlandia Rifles i 237 for whoutiiig and 15 for drill. The annuul match between the Upper flutt and Karori Rifle Clubs waa fired at Karori on Saturday, and was won by , the Karori Club by 68 pointe. The conditions were: Nine men a-feide; ranges I 200 and 300 yurds, ten shots at each. Following were the scores: —

PETONE RIFLE CLUB. The club held its weekly shooting for trophies and aggregate on Saturday at | the Waiwetu Range. Tho ehooting was , very jxwr, owing to the heavy unsteady wind, and at times the targets were almost invisible owing to the dense smoke caused by the bush fires. J.
