OUR DEFENCE FORCES.
Tho following will represent the Upper Hutt Rifle Club against Karori, at Karon, to-morrow : Messrs. Whiteman (6), Greenwood, Pirie, Rohdc, Johnson, and Wilkie. The Permanent Artillery in Wellington are about to go into camp at Mahanga Bay. The Petone Rifle Club will hold & competition for trophies and aggregate tomorrow, ranges 500 yds and 600 yds, ten shots afeach, /^ City Rifles parade at TEorndon railway station at 2 o'clock to-morrow and proceed to Trentham. The members of Iho Wellington Engineers undertake volley-firing to-morrow afternoon at tho Polhill Gully range. Those members who hay© not yet fired must do so on that day, as it ia their last chance before tho end of tho volunteer year. Tho corps will go into camp on Saturday, loth February, at Scorching Bay.
