THE UGANDA RAILWAY.

[PBESS ASSOCIATION.] LONDON, 10th December. Lord Cranborne, Parliamentary Secretary to the Foreign Office, speaking in the House of Commons, said the Uganda railway in Eastern Africa had cost £5,550,000. An additional £600,000 was voted to complete the line. [The cost was originally estimated at £5,206,000, but exceptional diflaculties were encountered in the course of construction. The length of line open for goods traffic early last year was 475, and for passengers 448 miles.]
