[BY TELERIIAPH. — 7BEBS ASSOCIATION. 1 OHIIISTCHURCH, 10th December. At Addington to-day 20 fat cattle were yarded, mostly cow beef, with a i few prime heifers and steers. The market opened easier, and late_ rates ! were barely maintained, beef ruling at 28s to 32s 6d per 1001b. Beat steers, £10 to £12 15s; others, £6 12s 6d to £9 10a; best heifers, £9 to £12 5s i ' others, £5 15s to £8 10s; best cows, £8 to £9 15s ; others, £5 5s to £7 10s. Store Cattle.— A fair entry, and good useful sorts met a keen demand. V earlings, 33s to 38s; 15 to 18 months, £2 7s 6d to 33 6s; 2-year steers, £5 15s; heifers £4 2s 6d to £4 15s 6d ; 3-year steers (very forward), £8 10s j heifers, £5 7s 6d to £5 9s. Ftit Sheep.— About 4800, including some very prime shorn wethers and ewes, all ■ of which sold well. A few woolly sheep were in, and anything unfinished was not so keenly sought after. Wethers in wool, 18s to 21b 3d; oxtra prime shorn, 24s 6d to 31s; freezers, 17s to 20s 9d ; lighter, 15s 6d to 16s 9d; woolly ewes, 15s to 20s 3d; shorn, prime to 20s 3d; freezers,' 16s to 18s 8d; others, 12s 5d to 15s; shorn merino 'wethers, 18s 6d. Fat Lambs numbered 1266, mostly good and improved. Exporters took 781 at 12s ] 8d to 16s 6d, and butchers 485 at 11s to 15a 7d up to 16s 3d. 1 Store Sheep.— Nearly 4000. All classes •were in demand. Pigs. — The number yarded was 320. There was less competition for baconers, : which were mostly in a backward condition, but porkers sold well, and stores, Which were in short supply, were in strong demand. Baconere, 40s to 55s to 65s for extra, equal to 4ijd per lb; potkers, 28s to 395, equal to sid per lb; large stores, 23s to 335; smaller, 14s to 20s; suckers and weaners, 10s "to 13s 6d. - DUNEDIN, 10th DecemberAt the Burnside market to-day 183 fat cattle were penned, prices ruling slightly lower than last week's rates. Best bullocks, £10 10s- to £12 10s; medium, £9 ; to £10 ss; best cows and heifers, £8 10s to £10 ss ; medium, £7 to £8 53. Sheep.— Nearly 2600 were yarded, prices ruling about the same as last .week. Wethers in wool, 22s 6d ; shorn, 19s to 21s 9d ; medium, 16s to 18s 6d ; ewes in wool, 21s 6d; shorn, 19s to 22s 3d; medium, 16s to 18s. Lambs'.— About 500 penned, prices ruling about the same as last week. Best, 14s to 15s 3d, medium to good, 11s to 13s 6d; others, 9s to 10s 6d. Pigs. — Only 126 yarded, all sorts being very dear. Suckers, 11s to 21s; slips, 22s to 255 ; stores, 26s to 30s ; porkers, 34s to 425 ; baconers, 47s to 665 ; heavy pigs, 70a to 80s.
