VOLCANIC ERUPTIONS.
. ANOTHER OUTBREAK IN CENTRAL AMERICA. MANY LIVES LOST., [PBESS ASSOCIATION.! (Received November 14, 9.25 a.m.) NEW YORK, 13th November. The volcano of Santa Maria, in Guatemala, Central America, is in eruption, and has buried the towns of Palmar, San Felipe, Colombia, and Coatepac. Many_ lives were lost. AUCKLAND, 13th Nov. Rumours of volcanic activity come from Samoa. Two natives reported thab five craters were active, but this requires confirmation. It is stated that no lives were losb. There are fears at Samoa of a more serious eruption. i Governor Solf has proceeded to the scene to get authentic information. A Government official states that the original crater is issuing volumes of smoke, and that another crater nas broken out.
