STEAMERS IN COLLISION.
A CHAPTER OF ACCIDENTS.. [PHESa ASSOCIATION.] BRISBANE, ,12th November. A collision occurred last night between the coastal steamer L»dy. Musgrave and the China steamer Ching-tu, bound for Hongkong. Neither vessel was damaged. As the weather was thick, the Lady Musgrave anchored off the pilot station. The China steamer Taiyuan, bound xov ' Sydney, then ran into the Lady Musgrave, cutting her to tho water's edge. By strenuous efforts the cargo was shifted' to give the vessel a list, and bring the gap in the vessel's side above the water-line. This > prevented the vessel sinking. Two of the crew of the Lady Musgrave sprang on board the Taiyuan, and wera carried on to Sydney.
