GISBORNE-KARAKA RAILWAY.
[BT TBLEOBAPH — PBESS ASSOCIATION.] * GISBORNE, This Day. A further section — three miles — of the Gisborne-Karaka railway was opened for traffic yesterday, the line now extending to Kaiteratahi, ' thirteen miles. Mr. Townley, Mayor of Gisborne, delivered a speech appropriate to the occasion, and in the absence of the Minister for Railways declared the line open.
