SATURDAY'S MATCHES. GAMES FOR THE PENNANT. The anntfal gomes for the Pennant, "which practically carries champion honours for the season with it, were begun on Saturday. The trophy is at present held by the Newtown Club. Saturday^ games -were — Victoria v. Thoyndon, on the Newtown green, and Newtown against Wellington on the Thorndon green. The Victoria-Thorndon game resulted in a victory for Victoria.
