THE MAORIS AND DRINK.
» TO THE EDITOB. f Sir, — Some weeks ago you allowed me to make use of your columns to tell Mr. A. L. D. Fraser, M.H.R.,that, if he thought we had slandered the Maoris in our pictorial petition, I should he glad to submit to his] inspection a copy of the original photograph. I now have a series of ten taken on the same occasion, one of which shows beer being carried round, in three-gallon buckets, to a group of about forty Maori men and women. Mr. Fraser, or any one else who is sceptical on this pointj is entirely at liberty to inspect them, and to enquire into the accuracy of our statements.— l am, etc., FRANK W. ISITT. 22nd November.
