It had, been sin the water for about three days. The case is evidently one of suicide, tfie right hand being tied to the right leg ■with flax. The man was wearing clothes bearing the brand of the Wellington Liinallfc Asylum, and' marked* with the name "Irvine." . », [The deceased has been identified as' JaSfnes Irvine, who was discharged from the Wellington Asylum a few days ago. ]Ps relative's belong to Bfrig-htwater, Nel•aoh, from .which place he was committed in Apiril, 1899. His age appears in the Asylum books as 38.] DUNEDIN", 24th November. The wife of James Dawson, a member of the Permanent Artillery, committed suicidfc by hanging herself some time op Friday night. She had been an inmate of the Seacliff Asylum.
