A broiling hpt day on Saturday (was succeeded yesterday by a perfect blizzard of snow, falling very low on the ranges. This morning there were heavy showers of rain, accompanied 1 at intervals by hail. A good downpour of rain is badly needed all through the district. In some parts, 'the crops are coming to ear with 'Only about six inches of growth. [BY TELKqBAPH— OWN COBBESrONDENT.] GRBYTOWN N., This Day. A thunderstorm broke over Greytown yesterday, followed by a record hailstorm. MASTERTON, This Day. Intermittent rains have fallen during the pas-fc two days. They will stop shearing, but will have an appreciably beneficial effect on crops and grass.'
