A. reward of £250 is offered for the apprehension ot Thomas Goudie, a bookkeeper in the Bank of Liverpool, who, by forging and uttering cheques, has defrauded the institution of £170,000. The crime is attributed to gambling on the turf. (Received November 25, 9.3G a.m.) ' LONDON, 24th November. Goudie -was in the habit of forging cheques for payment of his turf debts. The cheques were drawn upon accounts kept with the Bank of Liverpool. The cheques were afterwards presented through the clearing-house and various banks. Goudie , failed to debit the cheques to account, and circumvented the daily cheque with fresh transactions.
