Trooper Plannam waa getting over a hurdle on horseback, when two other horsemen dashed' up, and all collided. Hannam was rather seriously, injured, but the others escaped with slight injury. Two of the horses had to be destroyed. THAMES, This Day. Mr. Andrew Daniel Moore died suddenly this morndng !from heart disease, at his residence, in Upper Richmondstreet. Deceased was sixty years of age. CHRISTOHURCH, This Day. A man named M'Coll complained to his wife of pain in the side before going to bed on Saturday night. On Sunday his wife found him dead by her side. An inquest will be held. OAMARU, This Day. Mr. George Sumpler, an old resident, died last night. He was for many years a member of tue Otago Provincial Gouncil, and had filled the offices of Mayor of Oamaru and Chairman of the Harbour Board. He had also commanded the North Otago Volunteers.
