FEDERAL VARIETY COMPANY.

The programme submitted at the Federal Theatre on Saturday evening was received with apparent satisfaction. The acrobatic performance of the Roselle quartet made a good impression. Professor Kudar'z, the illusionist, gave a clever exhibition with cards and other means of mystification, and also performed the cabinet trick made famous by the Davenport Bros. Little Maisie Edwards sang and danced well, but seemed to be given too much work for so young a performer. The contributions of Mr. Fred Farren were acceptable. The same bill will be presented for the current week. The final performance of "Arrah-na-Pogue" was given by the Fabiar Dramatic Club in the Opera. House on Saturday night. Floral offerings were much in evidence throughout the evening, and the curtain fell on' "a successful .season amidst hearty applause. Miss Janetta Frazier, the vocalist who will, make her first , appearance in Wellington to-morrow night at the Orchestral Society's concert in the Opera House, will sing Gluck's "Gbe Faro t " Tosti's "Goodbye," and Bishop's "Should He Upbraid," substituting the last-named song for the Arditi item originally announced.
