Chamberlaia to Gibraltar, the Governor 1 (Sir George White) Im* been empowered! to expel undesirable persons from the possession, in order to lessen the overcrowding of population on British tprritoiriy. Mr. Cnamb&rlain has declined to. grant the petition of the inrabitants of Malta for a more liberal constitution, on (i»e ground that the interests of the fortress must be predominant.
