Nearly three months have now elapsed(says a contemporary) since the Goyernors started out to 'become the greatest bushrangers New South Wales has seen, and during that time they have committed close upon 80 crimes — nine people ."have been brutally murdered, thi'ee seriously wounded, and a younggirl outraged ; on five different occasions citizens ?hcTwe been fired' upon, and the police fyiave been fired 'upon three times-; 35. •plaits have been stuck up and robbed, homestead 'burnt, and they have committed .nine' highway robberies under arms; nine horses, six Winchester rifles, three guns, ammunition, and about £40 in money have been stolen by them, to say nothing of rations, boots, blankets, saddles, hats, and other articles.
